Interpreting A Pelvic CT Scan

When interpreting any radiological study it is important to have a clear algorithm.

  1. Bladder: evaluate for the presence of any masses, enlargement, or wall thickening/inflammation.
  2. Reproductive organs: 
    • Prostate (in males): evaluate size
    • Uterus (in females): size,
    • Ovaries (in females): 
  3. Bones: utilize the bone window and evaluate the pelvic bones.
