Muscles form the “SITS” acronym:
Supraspinatus (innervated by supra scapular nerve): performs abduction
Infraspinatous (innervated by supra scapular nerve): perform external rotation
Teres minor (innervated by the axillary nerve): Adduction and external rotation
Subscapularis (innervated by the upper and lower subscapualr nerves): adduction and internal rotation.
