OVERVIEW
A threatened abortion refers to any vaginal bleeding that occurs before 20 weeks gestation WITHOUT any dilation of the cervix or expulsion of any products of conception.

Initial Presentation:
- Vaginal bleeding
Physical Exam:
- Light vaginal bleeding is possible
- Closed cervical os
CLINCIAL WORKUP
Fetal ultrasonography can demonstrate the following:
- Fetal cardia activity
