OVERVIEW
A complete abortion refers to complete expulsion of all products of conception before 20 weeks gestation.
Initial Presentation:
- Vaginal bleeding may be present or not
- Expelled products of conception
Physical Exam:
- Vaginal bleeding may be visualized
- Closed cervical os
CLINCIAL WORKUP
Fetal ultrasonography can demonstrate the following:
- Empty uterine cavity.
