Fundamental Technical Skills In Interventional Radiology: Filling Syringes With Saline/Contrast (Using The Backtable Apparatus)

OVERVIEW

Commonly at the start of a case one of the first things that will need to be done is to fill empty syringes with both contrast and saline (and as the syringes are used during the case these syringes will need to be refilled appropriately). Many standard interventional radiology procedure trays will include a specific type of apparatus that is used for these purposes. The video below demonstrates how to use this apparatus:
