The content on this page can be found throughout the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stepwards.com\/?page_id=10204\">diagnostic radiology section<\/a><\/strong> of this website, however it is also organized here for the sake of convenience. While this page aims to serve as a good primer there are other established resources for DR that complement the content of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stepwards.com\">stepwards.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5><span id=\"PROTOCOLING_IMAGING_STUDIES\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">PROTOCOLING IMAGING STUDIES\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>Many studies in radiology that are ordered by providers need to be &#8220;protocoled&#8221; by radiologists. This involves the radiologist looking over the study indication, and making sure that the appropriate imaging was ordered (and then ordering the correct study if there is a discrepancy).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stepwards.com\/?page_id=25903\">This page has been created to help provide guidance on how to protocol radiology imaging studies correctly.<\/a><\/p>\n<h5><span id=\"SEARCH_PATTERNS\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">SEARCH PATTERNS<\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>Every study in radiology can have a &#8220;search pattern&#8221; which refers to a guide on how to read through the study in question. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stepwards.com\/?page_id=25872\">The search patterns for various imaging studies are organized here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5><span id=\"CT_SCAN_SPECIFICS\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CT SCAN SPECIFICS<\/span><\/span><\/h5>\n<p>This subsection helps to cover information that is relevant to reading CT scans.
