Ceftriaxone is a an antibiotic that belongs to the family of third generation cephalosporins.
WHEN DO WE USE IT?
Meningitis:
Gonorrhea: patient with exposure to gonorrhea can be given this medication as prophylaxis (in addition to those with an active infection).
Lyme disease (disseminated):
