WHAT IS IT?

The hypothalamus is a organ that serves a very important endocrinological role. 

HORMONES PRODUCED

Anti-diuretic hormone (ADH):

This hormone is made in the hypothalamus (and then eventually is transported to the posterior pituitary where it is stored)

Oxytocin:

This hormone is made in the hypothalamus (and then eventually is transported to the posterior pituitary where it is stored)
